Mirasol offers a seamless multi-level continuum of care, from partial hospitalization to intensive outpatient therapy, enabling clients to smoothly transition between programs sharing a common philosophy. This treatment continuum allows patients to "step up" or "step down" to match treatment intensity with their recovery needs.
Eating disorder treatment centers provide four basic levels of care:
Each client leaves Mirasol with a "toolbox" containing interventions and coping skills they can use to replace unhealthy coping behaviors.
Each client also goes home with a complete plan of action for continuing her recovery, including individual and group therapy. Mirasol alumni initially see a primary therapist at least twice a week as well as joining a weekly process group. Twelve-step programs, which are generally free, can fill the gap for women who have dual diagnoses, limited funds or who just need additional support.
Mirasol's free weekly eating disorder and body image support group is temporarily on hold to protect the safety of our clients, staff and the community from the potential spread of coronavirus. As soon as feasible, the support group will resume in an online format lead by Mirasol CEO and founder Jeanne Rust. Stay tuned for further details! .
"Mirasol is light years ahead of any other program in the country."
