Admission Information for Mirasol Clients
When you make your decision to receive help for your eating disorder at Mirasol, please call 888-520-1700. Our admissions counselors will support and guide you through every step in the admission process.
First Contact. During an initial telephone assessment, your counselor will ask you for some basic information including your contact information, vital statistics and the issues you want to address in treatment. If you will be using insurance to pay for your treatment, our representatives will contact your insurance carrier to verify your benefits.
Medical Exam and Lab Work. Before admitting to treatment, you'll need to see your physician for an EKG, medical examination and lab work.
Telephone Interview. Once we have determined that treatment at Mirasol is appropriate for you, we'll schedule a detailed phone assessment. A Mirasol clinician will ask about the history of your eating disorder and any co-occurring conditions, previous interventions, food allergies and medications and family relationships. This intake generally takes less than an hour. Information collected during the intake assessment will be used to begin building an individualized treatment plan for you.
Check In. The date of your arrival at Mirasol can be determined as soon as you complete your medical clearance and the telephone intake. If you are flying in from out-of-town, we will pick you up at the Tucson airport and help you settle in to your room at Mirasol.
